Blair Flooring began in 1951. Native Arizonian John Blair wanted to change people's thoughts about hardwood flooring in their homes. He knew he had the skill and knowledge. He just had to convince folks that hardwood floors were not only beautiful, but practical and long-lasting.
After 19 solid years in business, John partnered with his son Jim to form what we know now as Blair & Son Floor Company. The next generation in their family was no exception, and the legacy continued! In 1992, Jim's son Johnny started learning the trade of hardwood floor refinishing and installation. Johnny worked by his grandfather's side for ten years, gaining the knowledge and expertise he needed to continue his grandfather's passion. As he steps into the ownership role, his father, Jim, is honored to mentor him. Jim remains an irreplaceable asset to the business as he continues to meet with customers and cultivate and maintain strong business relationships.
Johnny and his father, in loving memory of John Blair, continue through hard and meticulous work, excellent customer focus, and a genuine belief that homes in the Pacific Northwest deserve the beauty and durability that hardwood flooring provides.
